I like animals, but I'm not doing it because I'm an animal lover, ... It's upsetting to see so much death. I've gotten down because I'm always around something dead. I had to call on the local police to finish one deer off. That's bad.

We wanted the science fiction to be accessible, that it not be like 'Star Trek,' that it not be technical, and everything has to be explained. We wanted it to be much scarier in the way it's presented.

Whether they want to be or not, ... they're plucked out of their lives by federal agents and told, 'You can't tell anybody what's happening, and you're going to be here for the next X-number weeks or years. If you don't agree, you're going to be put in a cell somewhere, because you already know too much.' Already, it's created kind of a tense situation; the whole investigation is intense, so there is a lot of pressure on these characters.

Wouldn't it be nice if our lives were like VCRS (video recorders), and we could "fast forward' through the crummy times? "Peanuts", Charles M

A lot of this is art, not science, and standards aren't as clear as Admiral (Charles) Griffiths would make them out to be, ... We've reviewed the books and if you read the books, Waddle is inside perimeters for everything.
