It's very hard to say how long it will take for the French to pay all the women equally. Now that we've crossed the intellectual hurdle, I hope the next steps go much faster.

In the 21st century, it is morally indefensible that women competitors in a Grand Slam tournament should be receiving considerably less prize money than their male counterparts.

It's not about the money, neither for the club nor the players. It's certainly not about Wimbledon needing cash with their declared profit of 25 million. They are clearly trying to make a statement. On the one hand, they say they cherish the players and the champions, and on the other hand, they are telling the world that Venus Williams is less of a champion than Roger Federer.

We've had a very successful working relationship. I think Larry and I like each other. As with any long relationship, there are complexities. ... But in the end, I want what's best for Larry. He's done a lot for me. I owe him quite a bit, and I take that to heart.

There never was a power struggle between Larry and Theo. It was simply mythology. I can assure you as we move forward that Larry?s role has not changed at all, and no general manager in baseball could ask for more autonomy than Theo has.
