Dan has many interesting sidelines and he's fascinated by the world of paranormal. It's part of his family history, in fact, ... He has relatives he claims were spirit mediums. He also believes in alien visitation and there is some speculation that Dan is an alien. He's so genuinely enthusiastic about the stuff. That's what was on the page when he showed it to us.

My family and I are deeply sorry for all that Vice President Cheney has had to go through this past week.

I really didn't want to look to see what was going on. It's like having a death in the family. What you do is just get over it and let it pass. Everybody goes through some tough times. So you just wish for better days.

I'm learning the ropes the same as the students are. I think it's neat to see how Adopt-a-Family affects the students; it brings out a whole new side of them. It's great any time you can connect the school and community.
