Spreuken over Familie

All through his illness, he was concerned about his family. One of the things he said was that handling the illness was not that difficult for him, but seeing the look on other people?s faces really tore him up.

Playing in the dining room, at the kitchen table, or on the family room floor creates a whole different family dynamic than other activities. Conversations can start to happen -- you may learn things about your child academically or socially that you didn't know. That's a much better atmosphere than, 'Tell me about your day,' when you're doing something you and your child enjoy.

If this had happened to Mr. Harper's family then, of course, he would be raising it.

You try to make the right decisions and you treat it as if it was one of your family out there. You can't be complacent.
